Privacy Policy
Your audio stays on your Mac. Automatically, WaveCarve sends only a random installation UUID and a first-launch event. Additional feedback data is sent only when you submit the feedback form.

WaveCarve is a macOS audio trimming app. Waveform generation, playback, trimming, and export take place locally on the user’s Mac.
Limited Installation Information
On first successful launch reporting, WaveCarve sends a randomly generated installation UUID and an event indicating that the installation has launched to wavecarve.top over HTTPS. The UUID is stored in the macOS Keychain and reused after updates, replacement installs, and reinstalls on the same Mac and macOS user account. It is not a hardware serial number, Apple ID, email address, or App Store account identifier, and WaveCarve does not synchronize it through iCloud.
The server stores the UUID, first-seen time, most recent report time, source label, and report count. A developer notification is sent only when a UUID is first recorded. Repeated reports with the same UUID are deduplicated. The information is used only to count distinct app installations and operate this notification; it is not linked by WaveCarve to a person and is not used for advertising or tracking.
For the App Store privacy label, the UUID and launch event are declared as linked to the user because Apple’s definition includes persistent linkage through a device, even though WaveCarve does not tie the UUID to a name, email address, Apple ID, or payment information.
Feedback Data
Help > Send Feedback opens a native form. If the user submits it, WaveCarve sends the selected category, feedback message, optional reply email, installation UUID, and source label to wavecarve.top. Submission is optional and user-initiated.
The feedback database stores those fields and the submission time but not the request IP address or User-Agent. The feedback is delivered to the developer by email and is used only to read, respond to, and improve WaveCarve. It is not sent to an automatic translation service, advertising service, or third-party analytics provider.
Audio, Files, and Local Cache
WaveCarve does not upload audio, audio content, filenames, paths, metadata, waveform data, selections, exports, or editing history. It does not modify the original file. Sampled waveform summaries and source-file validation information may be stored in a local cache to accelerate reopening; this cache does not contain the complete audio and never leaves the device.
Purchases
WaveCarve is planned as a one-time US$1.99 App Store download with no subscription. Apple processes purchases under Apple’s policies. WaveCarve does not receive the user’s Apple ID, payment-card details, or App Store account identifier. The installation UUID is not proof of purchase and cannot determine whether multiple Macs belong to the same purchaser; purchase and sales totals are measured through App Store Connect.
Network, Retention, and Deletion
The WaveCarve installation database and notification email do not store the request IP address or User-Agent. Web-server and security infrastructure may process and temporarily retain limited connection logs for security and reliable operation. WaveCarve includes no advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs and does not sell or share installation UUIDs with advertisers or data brokers. Apple and network infrastructure providers may process connection or purchase information under their own policies.
Installation and feedback records are retained to maintain deduplicated counts and handle feedback unless deletion is requested. In WaveCarve, choose Help > Copy Installation UUID, then email that UUID to maysoft1982@icloud.com to request access to or deletion of matching records. A submitted reply email may also be used to locate feedback. Clearing the Keychain item, erasing the Mac, changing macOS user accounts, or using another Mac may create a new UUID.
Tracking, Children, and Changes
WaveCarve does not track users across apps or websites. It is not an online service directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information. This policy and App Store disclosures will be updated if the app’s data practices change.

反馈数据库保存上述字段和提交时间，不保存请求 IP 地址或 User-Agent。反馈会通过邮件发送给开发者，只用于阅读、回复和改进 WaveCarve，不会发送给自动翻译、广告或第三方分析服务。
音频、文件与本地缓存
WaveCarve 不上传音频、音频内容、文件名、路径、标签、波形、选区、导出文件或编辑历史，也不会修改原始文件。本地波形缓存不包含完整音频，不会离开设备。
购买
WaveCarve 计划以 1.99 美元在 App Store 一次性付费下载，无需订阅。购买由 Apple 处理，WaveCarve 不会收到用户的 Apple ID、支付卡信息或 App Store 账号标识。安装 UUID 不是购买凭证，不能判断多台 Mac 是否属于同一购买者；购买与销售数据以 App Store Connect 为准。
